Shave an Artist

Venue: Bruce Mason Centre, Takapuna Beach, Auckland

Date: Saturday Feb 3rd, 2009   Time: 6:30pm   Cost: Free - All welcome

Description: The NZ Art Guild are joining together wtih the Leukaemia and Blood Foundation of NZ to Shave An Artist.  Artists from all over NZ are shaving their heads to raise money and support the 6 New Zealand children and adults that are diagnosed with blood cancers like leukaemia and lymphoma every day.The Leukaemia & Blood Foundation provides essential support not only for those patients, but for their families - support that can last months, and even years.

Top NZ Artists have donated 13 artworks which will be auctioned off at a one of a kind, not to missed charity event. Watch while artists and friends have their heads shaved alongside their artworks being auctioned.

Synergy Group NZ Directors Nigel Fowler and Jenny Hammond will be shaving their head's for Leukaemia. Sponsor and Support them by donating towards their head shave to raise money for the Leukaemia and Blood Foundation. Sponsor Now!

100% of the proceeds from the art auction and head shaves will be donated to Leukaemia and Blood Foundation.

The "Shave an Artist" charity event will also launch a month long exhibition of artworks depicting "life" in all its facets by 40 artists from around NZ such as top New Zealand artist Sofia Minson.
